Our knights went to Dublin for the Global Conference of the Service Design Network. They were highly excited to see some of the many speakers, as well as to participate in specific hands-on workshops they had subscribed for. The implementation of redesigned services is often a stumbling block in a project and therefore this year's theme highlighted 'Designing to Deliver'.
On Thursday the group arrived to enjoy the full two day conference. They also had the chance to meet their fellow service designers from around the world on the organised networking event where they could enjoy a stunning view from the Convention Centre.
After a busy two days at the conference the knights felt really inspired and would each like to share their take-aways:
As proud representers of the Belgian Service Design Chapter, we received an honourable mention for their work and organised events. They were invited to the main stage to be personally congratulated by the President of the Service Design Network, Birgit Mager.
After having learned a lot at the conference, they stayed the weekend to continue their adventure and explore the rest of the city. Our knights discovered the typical local pubs and learned to appreciate the flavourful tastes of Irish Whiskey. Combined with some lovely sightseeing, visiting museums and dancing with our fellow conference attendees, this year can be called another success!
