Sometimes delivering successful services means changing the way you work. During this two-day training you will get the tools and knowledge to realise these changes. You will be introduced to the main principles of service design and you will use methods and techniques to create successful services in your organisation! In short, at the end of the training, you will know how to design your services to suit your users.

What does the training contain?

An introduction to the key principles of service design in a practical way

Hands-on methods and techniques to get started in your own organisation.

The program

Day 1 - Empathising with the user

  • Introduction to service design
    We start with the basic principles and theory of service design.
  • Formulate research challenge
    Together, we identify your question, co-create a research challenge and examine existing assumptions.
  • User research
    We delve into the end user's world through qualitative research methods.
  • Personas & customer journeys
    We translate insights into personas and customer journeys to clearly visualise the user experience and bottlenecks.

Day 2 - From idea to testable concept

  • Idea generation
    We start creatively with a brainstorming session to come up with solutions that meet the needs of your target group.
  • Prototyping & testing
    We make ideas tangible with prototypes and test them immediately with real users to learn and adjust quickly.
  • From concept to action
    We conclude with practical tips to sustainably improve your services.

  • This training is given by Knight Moves' service design experts, driven professionals with experience in various sectors.
  • This training is given in Dutch.
  • We like a personal approach, therefore we allow a maximum of 12 participants per training.
  • The training will take place on October 8 & 9, 2025 at Ghent.
  • We organise a feedback moment with all participants 2 months after the training for tailor-made advice!
